There are several soccer moves that a coach need to train his team about. Some of the soccer moves are explained below.

1. Dribbling:- An expert coach knows that dribbling is one of the most important skills in soccer. Dribbling is the ability of the player to move the ball up and down the field. In order to dribble, the player has to move the ball back and forth from one foot to the other. The coach can train the players to do this by shoving, pushing, tapping, or nudging the ball with the inside, outside, or sole of the foot.

2. Push Passing:- Passing is equally important for the soccer players to have impressive command in. Passing is the ability of a team to move the ball down the field, from one player to another. The coaches need to teach his players regarding the several different types of passes. The push pass is the most common type of passing. In fact, every soccer player uses this passing and the major reason for this is that it is the most accurate of all passes. In order to execute a push pass, the coach should train the players to use the inside of the foot and strike the ball in the middle, planting the non-kicking foot alongside of the ball and following through with the kicking foot in the direction that the player wants the ball to go.The most important thing in passing is that the players must learn to keep their eyes on the ball as they make the pass.

3. Long Passing:- Long passing is another important type of passing in soccer. When you want to pass the ball to a teammate who is far away, you need to execute a long pass.In order to teach the team how to execute a successful long pass, the coaches should instruct the players to approach the ball at a slight angle, keeping the non-kicking foot to the side and slightly behind the ball, and striking the ball low, with the instep, and following through with a full swing.

Grand Canyon Hiking

The hike from the canyon rim to the floor of the valley and back up again can be tackled by most relatively fit people – even the novice hiker. Make no mistake, it is a tough hike but you don’t need to be an athlete to complete it successfully. It is possible for an experienced hiker to trek to the bottom and back up the other side in one day, however, if you have the time available try to plan your hike over three or more days to make the most of this experience.

During the planning process for your trek you might want to read some of the many books available on Grand Canyon hiking. There are also videos/DVDs available and any of these resources will start to give you an idea of the trail you might prefer to take from the rim to the canyon floor and back up again. It is a popular idea with hikers to begin their descent from one rim, hike to the floor of the canyon and then hike out on the opposite side.

This particular hike poses the problem of where to leave your car; or more importantly, how to get back to your car it you exit the canyon on, say, the south rim, and your car is parked on the north rim. The distance from the south rim to the north rim is only about ten miles as the crow flies but it is a 220 mile car trip! Some hikers arrange to swap car keys with a group hiking in the opposite direction. If this option isn’t available to you, there is a shuttle that runs between the two rims.

You can choose a guided Grand Canyon hike or a self-guided hike. If you choose a self-guided hike you must start out with a good map. There are many different maps available and you’ll want to ensure that your map covers the trails you wish to hike plus the campgrounds.Let’s start with when not to go Grand Canyon hiking! June, July and August are scorchingly hot and should be avoided. The north rim and all its facilities are closed from mid November to mid May. The most pleasant time of year to attempt a Grand Canyon hike is mid May to early June and late September to mid November. An advantage of trekking in the spring is the presence of many beautiful wildflowers on the canyon floor.

Dealing with Long Flights

If you are going to explore exciting and interesting foreign lands, you have to get there. This almost always means sitting on a long flight. It is rather ironic that sitting for long periods of time can wear you out. It isn’t the exertion that gets you, it is the lack of it. Your body simply isn’t given any work out at all, so you tend to become lethargic and just kind of blah. All of this is particularly true when you are on a long flight.

Flying is uniquely difficult on your body over long distances. First, you are confined to a small area, particularly those tiny little seats most airlines seem to use now. Second, you are in a pressurized cabin, which can have some subtle effects on your body. To keep you sanity and some energy, there are some basic things you should do during a long flight.

The first step is to get up from time to time. If you sit in a chair for 10 hours, particularly in a pressurized cabin, you can find your shoes getting tight. The blood starts pooling in your legs. While the human body was certainly designed to sit, doing it for 10 to 14 hours straight is not within the design specifications! Try to get up and walk around once every two hours or so. This gets the blood moving again. If you can find space by the bathrooms, try to stretch your legs. Most longer flights are on large planes that have such space.

It is also important to realize that you are in a very dry encapsulated area on your flight. You may not realize it, but you can easily become dehydrated on longer flights. Try to drink water with every meal. Also, try to bring a couple large water bottles onboard or buy them on the plane. Make sure you empty them before you land to stay hydrated.
